Where to begin! Dr Farrugia and his team are beyond amazing. He is an extraordinary surgeon. He's personable , relatable and cares about his work and patients. From my consultation day I felt a sense of comfort and even though I asked 20 thousand questions he reassured me that everything will be ok. What I love about him is that he tells you the positive and the negative. He was always honest with what the outcome could be. The day of my surgery, I was so nervous but my nurse did an amazing job of ensuring that I was calm, relaxed and comfortable. Dr Farrugia walked me again through the process, drew what he was going to do and asked me if I had questions. The amount of detail and attention this man gave me was amazing. Through the actual procedure I can honestly say I didn't feel a thing. They prep you with some medicine for anxiety, local anesthesia, and you can watch your favorite show or listen to music. Or even talk with them, which I did. I remember falling a sleep for a little bit and next thing you know he was telling me to turn around for my BBL. All in all I was there from 6am -11 am. Recovery was easy. No pain just discomfort in the areas and swollen. When I tell you to follow Dr Farrugia plan of care pre and post surgery please do. That will ensure your results to the fullest. Did lipo360 on my stomach 8 months postpartum. I had a high risk pregnancy and C-section, which caused a pretty bad stomach pooch and had tons of stretch marks and scars. Dr.Farrugia is definitely an expert when it comes to this profession and you can tell he has years of knowledge. He anticipated how my skin would heal and somehow my stretch marks looked so much better even a few day after surgery. I went to multiple Airsculpting consultations and they insisted I had to do both the fat removal and skin tightening or my skin wouldn't heal properly. Which Dr.Farrugia ensured me I did not need skin tightening and my skin would heal properly and it did. He also made both sides identical which I never even thought of. He listened to every concern I had, made me feel comfortable through the whole process. This was worth every penny and even moving to Tahoe, Ca I would rather fly to Chicago and go to Bodyluxe than go to any other place for this procedure. I also spent half of what every other place quoted me and this place was 10x more professional and in a clean area with tons of restaurants around. We also used the app and it made parking super cheap and easy.

Still very happy with my decision but pain / burning / numbness still there. It comes and goes though. This morning I was startled by my husband screaming out of his sleep with a Charlie horse and my entire abdomen / flanks flared up from the adrenaline. It felt like I was set on fire with burning feeling. This subsided after an hour and all settled back down. So yes, you do have to plan for recovery and make sure not to stress out or do anything that causes the adrenaline rush. Pain isn't so bad now. I am still swollen, bruised and as expected. I have very good days where I feel almost normal and then others where I get really tired from doing anything. But this is slowly improving. I can't wait for the 6 week mark which should be the end to most of my recovery. I do recommend lymphatic massage which is supposed to help with the bruising and swelling. The massages feel soo good even though they can be quite uncomfortable! There is lots of sensation and also many numb spots. My skin is slowly returning to normal. Dr Farrugia and his office team have been super supportive and I feel like I can reach out to them any time.

Dr. Daniel Farrugia was by far the best doctor I have ever had besides Dr. David Bruah. He was very thorough with my diagnosis and made sure to educate me on everything that was happening. He made me feel so comfortable and his bed side manner is amazing. He told me how his own parents were misdiagnosed with cancer and it's his calling and mission in life to make sure that NEVER happens to any one of his patients! He goes above and beyond for his passion and patients! He also is the best surgeon. I had my whole right breast ductal system removed in 2016 and he cut around my whole areola and you cannot tell I had surgery at all (something I was very worried about and caused me severe anxiety). I am super bummed he no longer is with centegra and moved on when northwestern medicine took over. I'd give anything to have him back as my doctor. Dr. Farrugia did my revision on chin lipo 3 weeks ago and I am SO HAPPY with my results and overall experience. The first doctor I went to at a different facility barely took any fat out.
