CREATE A SMOOTHER INNER-LEG LINE

Inner thigh and knee liposuction at BodyLuxe in Chicago can reduce localized fat along the inner thighs and around the medial knees, helping the leg look more continuous from thigh to knee. These areas are planned together when both contribute to the contour you notice in fitted clothing, standing poses, or photographs.

Inner-thigh and knee treatment at a glance

  • Goal: refine the inner-thigh-to-knee transition.
  • Planning: treatment may include the inner thighs, medial knees, or both, as named in the written plan.
  • Approach: targeted FormSculpt with tumescent local anesthesia.

How inner thigh and knee liposuction shapes the leg

Inner thigh and knee liposuction removes selected fat beneath the skin to refine the inner-leg line. Either area may be treated alone, or both may be planned together when that creates a more continuous contour. This is a targeted FormSculpt liposuction plan. For lower-leg concerns, see calf and ankle liposuction.

Dr. Farrugia evaluates the inner thigh and medial knee from several angles and also looks at how they connect. Outer- or front-thigh treatment is considered separately and included only when it belongs in the plan.

What a smoother inner-leg contour can involve

The goal is a smoother, more proportional transition from inner thigh to knee. Your anatomy and the views that bother you most determine whether one zone or both should be treated.

Reduce localized fullness

Pinchable fat along the inner thigh or around the medial knee can be reduced to improve proportion and, when fullness contributes, reduce rubbing.

Skin and structure shape the result

Pelvic and leg-bone structure, muscle shape, skin elasticity, and cellulite all influence the result. Liposuction can refine fat-related fullness, while your natural frame continues to shape the leg.

Choose the areas that work together

The inner thigh and knee can be treated separately or together. If loose skin, scarring, circulation, or another factor is driving the appearance, Dr. Farrugia will explain what approach is more likely to help.

Is the fullness caused by fat, skin, or leg anatomy?

This procedure may fit when pinchable fat along the inner thighs or medial knees is the main concern and your skin is likely to adapt after fat removal. Dr. Farrugia also considers skin laxity, muscle and bone structure, leg symmetry, prior treatment, circulation, weight change, and whether another area affects the overall line.

It may fit your goals when

  • You have localized, pinchable fat at the inner thighs or around the knees that remains a concern despite stable health and weight.
  • The concern is primarily fullness from fat rather than loose skin, muscle anatomy or weight alone.
  • You want a personalized improvement and understand that each side, the thigh-to-knee transition and any adjacent area must be evaluated together.

A different approach may make more sense when

  • Loose skin or another structural concern contributes more to the appearance than fat.
  • Your health, medications, nicotine exposure, prior procedures, scarring or proposed treatment extent changes what is safest and most appropriate.
  • Your main goal depends on a guaranteed thigh gap, substantial skin tightening, weight loss or a fixed leg shape that liposuction cannot reliably create.

How the inner thighs and knees are planned

Dr. Farrugia examines the legs from multiple angles and marks the specific contours to be treated. Tumescent local anesthesia is used, and patients typically remain awake and able to communicate. The objective is a smooth transition rather than aggressive removal from a single spot.

Dr. Farrugia personally evaluates you, marks the treatment zones, and performs the liposuction. The BodyLuxe nursing team supports preparation, comfort, and aftercare, and Dr. Farrugia remains involved through follow-up.

What recovery usually looks like

Swelling, bruising, soreness, firmness, and temporary numbness are common early. Lower-leg swelling can fluctuate, and one side may settle faster than the other. Compression, walking, work, travel, and exercise instructions are individualized, with the contour becoming easier to judge over the following weeks and months.

Short, frequent walks begin as directed. Your instructions cover compression, access-site care, work, travel, exercise, and follow-up for the exact areas treated.

Swelling can shift down the leg and settle unevenly from side to side. The contour is commonly easier to assess around three to six months and may continue refining longer. Individual results vary.

Risks and realistic expectations

Expected early effects can include soreness, bruising, swelling, drainage, firmness, temporary numbness, and contour changes caused by swelling.

Important risks include bleeding or fluid collection, infection, prolonged swelling, altered sensation, asymmetry, contour irregularity, loose or uneven skin, healing problems, blood clots, medication or anesthesia complications, and possible revision. Liposuction cannot change bone structure, muscle shape, cellulite, or guarantee a thigh gap.

Before you decide, Dr. Farrugia explains the risks most relevant to your health and treatment extent, alternatives, warning signs, and follow-up.

Personalized pricing

Pricing is personalized to the treatment area, anatomy, BMI and other planning factors. After consultation, your written quote explains exactly what is included.

Inner thigh and knee liposuction FAQs

Is inner-thigh or knee liposuction a weight-loss procedure?

No. It refines localized fat beneath the skin rather than treating obesity or producing overall weight loss.

Will I be awake during inner-thigh or knee liposuction?

Yes. Tumescent local anesthesia numbs the treatment area while you remain awake and able to communicate; medication may be used for comfort when appropriate.

Are inner thighs and knees included in FormSculpt 360?

No. They are separate targeted FormSculpt areas and must be specifically included in your plan and quote.

Can liposuction create a thigh gap?

No specific gap can be guaranteed. Pelvic structure, muscle shape, fat distribution, skin, and stance all influence the space between the thighs.

Can it tighten loose skin?

Skin may adapt after fat removal, but the amount varies. More substantial laxity may require another approach.

Do inner thighs and knees have to be treated together?

No. Either area may be treated alone, but addressing both can create a more continuous inner-leg contour when both contribute to the concern.

When can I return to work?

Desk-based work may be possible within several days to about a week, while physical work or a larger combined plan can require more time. Your instructions are individualized.

When can results be evaluated?

The contour is commonly easier to assess around three to six months and may continue refining longer. Individual results vary.

How much does inner-thigh or knee liposuction cost?

Pricing varies with the treatment area, anatomy, BMI and other factors evaluated during consultation. You receive a written quote after your individualized assessment.
