Got my surgery 5/20 Lipo 360 he was so informative before my procedure has been very attentive after. I'm only a week postop just had my one week check up. I'm dealing with swelling and some discomfort but I'm able to walk around I can go back to the gym soon only light cardio. Any questions I had after my surgery he has made sure he responded. He did for me what no amount of exercise and dieting has done, that is remove the fat from my stomach area and make the pouch disappear. I had fat transfer to the breast with the fat being taken from my abdomen, it's been 3 months and I'm really pleased with the results. After breastfeeding my 3 children my breast were very deflated and this procedure gave them life again. I love that I was awake for the procedure and the recovery wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I was fully up and back to almost normal after a couple weeks. Having reached by mid fifties my midsection got thicker and fat stored around my belly. I was always struggling to get dressed to conceal the area. I learned about Airsculp thru RealSelf and booked a consultation with Dr Farrugia in Chicago. One consultation is all it took! I felt very comfortable and confident my goals would be achieved. I am so happy I did it – one week has gone by and all as expected. Bruised and swollen but I already can see my hourglass figure returning already! Can't wait for final results which can take up to six months. Updated on 20 Jul 2022: 7-20-22 – 2.5 weeks since my procedure for mid section / flanks / back. Still very happy with my decision but pain / burning / numbness still there. It comes and goes though. This morning I was startled by my husband screaming out of his sleep with a Charlie horse and my entire abdomen / flanks flared up from the adrenaline. It felt like I was set on fire with burning feeling. This subsided after an hour and all settled back down. So yes, you do have to plan for recovery and make sure not to stress out or do anything that causes the adrenaline rush. Pain isn't so bad now. I am still swollen, bruised and as expected. I have very good days where I feel almost normal and then others where I get really tired from doing anything. But this is slowly improving. I can't wait for the 6 week mark which should be the end to most of my recovery. I do recommend lymphatic massage which is supposed to help with the bruising and swelling. The massages feel soo good even though they can be quite uncomfortable! There is lots of sensation and also many numb spots. My skin is slowly returning to normal. Dr Farrugia and his office team have been super supportive and I feel like I can reach out to them any time.

Dr. Daniel Farrugia was by far the best doctor I have ever had besides Dr. David Bruah. He was very thorough with my diagnosis and made sure to educate me on everything that was happening. He made me feel so comfortable and his bed side manner is amazing. He told me how his own parents were misdiagnosed with cancer and it's his calling and mission in life to make sure that NEVER happens to any one of his patients! He goes above and beyond for his passion and patients! He also is the best surgeon. I had my whole right breast ductal system removed in 2016 and he cut around my whole areola and you cannot tell I had surgery at all (something I was very worried about and caused me severe anxiety). I am super bummed he no longer is with centegra and moved on when northwestern medicine took over. I'd give anything to have him back as my doctor. Hopefully this new doctor that took over for him is just as passionate about her job and patients as he was. I miss you dearly Dr. Farrugia and hope you are loving where your at now.
